Government Council Shehu Bala Usman says his administration is committed to playing a visible role in promoting polio eradication and other deadly diseases in the locality
This he said can be achieved by releasing funds in a timely manner for immunization as well as working closely with traditional leaders to ensure no child is left out of the immunization activities.
The Chairman stated this during an engagement meeting with the Director of Primary Healthcare of Area Martha Milat Kummiap, Development Partners as well as principal officers of the Department to ascertain the challenges as well as the level of preparation of the Department towards a successful ongoing National Immunization Plus Day NIPD held at the Health Department Conference Hall in Jos.
The Chairman appreciated the Director of Primary Healthcare of the Council Martha Kummiap for drawing his attention to other challenges of those especially on the field.
He noted that his administration will leave no stone unturned to guarantee the safety of the field workers as well as citizens who are discharging their legitimate duties in the locality.
The Chairman called on all parents and guidance to avail their wards for the immunization exercise.
