Three medical students missing after boat mishap in Calabar

The Nigerian Navy and other security agencies to locate the whereabouts of three medical students who went missing during their tour of the |Marina Resort, Calabar on Saturday, June 24th 2023.
In a press statement signed by Ejim Clement, president of the Nigerian Medical Students Association and made available to Jayfm, the tour was a part of the body’s annual activities to mark its Health week for the year 2023.
Special Assistant to the NIMSA president, Chioma Ikeh who spoke to our correspondent on the development says, the incident occurred after the engine of the boat experienced a failure.

The state governor, Bassey Otu, in his reaction to the incident, blamed the crash on overcrowding, adding that he had ordered an investigation into the incident.
