Tinubu approves establishment of Military Base in Plateau as he hails Super Eagles for showing great resilience

Former Plateau State Governor Joshua Dariye has hailed President Bola Tinubu for approving the establishment of a military barracks in Bokkos Local Government Area to stem the killings in the area and neighboring villages – Mangu, Riyom and Barkin-Ladi local government areas.
The former governor, who is also reportedly the facilitator of the initiative, says the recent killings across the state were alarming and deserved urgent attention to halt the development.
After a frustrating end to their campaign in the search for a fourth title, President Bola Tinubu has praised the Super Eagles for their display in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations final in Ivory Coast.
Despite their loss to the host nation, Tinubu says the Eagles demonstrated resilience and talent at the tournament.

In his assessment, Nigeria’s goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has lamented the Super Eagles’ 2-1 defeat in the hands of Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations last night, describing it as a disappointing and frustrating end.
Nwabali in a post on his Instagram handle apologizes to Nigerians for the loss.
Nigeria initially took the lead in the 18th minute through a header from William Troost-Ekong, but Cote d’Ivoire equalized in the 63rd minute and secured the winning goal in the 87th minute.
