Written by on April 16, 2024

Following a reported cholera outbreak that allegedly led to the death of some students in the institution, the Dean of students’ affairs of the University of Jos, Professor Christopher Pewuna is saying that the rumors are untrue.

While acknowledging that a female student initially hospitalized at the school clinic eventually died at the Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, he says she was adequately taken care of at the clinic but could not make it despite being transferred to JUTH.

On the lack of basic amenities and facilities needed for a conducive learning environment, Prof. Pewuna says the management regrets any inconveniences faced by the students and is doing everything possible to address the problems.

Speaking on the accreditation of the Dentistry department, he adds that the school management will today meet with the students and all those involved as it looks to resolve the issues.
