Plateau state government vows clampdown on fertilizer racketeers

Following the misappropriation of fertilizers purchased for distribution by the Plateau state government, the Commissioner of Agriculture, Mr. Samson Bugama has indicated that the government is on the trails of the racketeers.
He made the disclosure during a live appearance on Jayfm’s Morning Programme “Let’s talk”, as monitored by our correspondent, Ruth Marcus.
The Commissioner says some of the perpetrators who forged his signature and those of other government appointees have so far been arrested as the government looks to recover the stolen fertilizers.
Mr. Bugama who also reveals that the government is working hard to eradicate the seeming apathy for agriculture in the state notes that a good number of youths have been selected for training at the CSS farms for agropreneurship.
